For parents coming to meetings:
The Douglas County Special Education Advisory Committee (DCSEAC) Parent/District meetings are open to all parents of students in the Douglas County School District. Those wishing to attend and observe a Parent/District meeting, please contact DCSEAC via email at email@example.com, prior to the meeting, to inform us that you will be attending.
Those wishing to address the DCSEAC parent board may submit an email to firstname.lastname@example.org describing the matter that is wished to be discussed. This request must be approved by the DCSEAC parent board in order to be added to the agenda. The submission must be placed one week prior to the meeting. Upon approval, those wishing to address the parent board will be given 3 minutes to voice their comments. If the board determines that the parent board meeting is not the appropriate forum, the request will be forwarded to the appropriate Special Education Coordinators and/or Special Education Directors.
